The cot does the heavy work. But it's the small supporting pieces that decide whether a load goes smooth or turns into a two-person fight at 3 a.m., and that's exactly where Stryker Power-PRO XT accessories earn their place in a well-run rig. A battery that won't hold a charge or a kit that doesn't match your fastener can sideline an otherwise healthy cot.

What Counts as Stryker Power-PRO XT Accessories

The Power-PRO XT (model 6506) is a powered cot, and most of what crews search for falls into a few buckets. Batteries, chargers and battery kits. Power-LOAD and Performance-LOAD compatibility and upgrade kits that let the cot work with your fastener system. Head-end storage and accessory bundles.

Some of these cross over with the Power-PRO 2 (model 6507), but not all of them. Fit matters more than brand loyalty here, so confirm the part suits a 6506 before you order. If you're looking for the Power-PRO 2 itself, see our Stryker Power-PRO 2 collection.

Batteries, Chargers, and the Consumables That Wear Out

Batteries are the part most agencies underbuy. A powered cot runs on a charge, and a cell that's been through a few hundred cycles won't hold the same runtime it did new. Our listings include Dewalt style batteries, a Dewalt style battery charger and a battery kit with two batteries and a charger for the Power-PRO XT stretcher. Keep a spare on the charger and rotate it. That's the whole trick.

Compatibility Kits and Upgrades

If your cot and fastener system don't match, a compatibility kit is often the fix. We list the Stryker Power-LOAD compatibility kit and the Performance-LOAD compatibility kit for the Power-PRO XT 6506, as well as a Power-LOAD plus Performance-LOAD upgrade kit for the Power-PRO XT 6500. Check each product page for exactly which cot and fastener it fits.

Who's Buying These Parts

EMS agencies running a fleet are the biggest buyers, and they usually want consistency across every ambulance so a crew grabs the same part no matter which rig they're in. Fire-based EMS and first aid squads fall into the same pattern.

Hospitals and transport services buy accessories to keep existing cots in service rather than replacing a whole unit over one worn component. Smaller volunteer squads often just need a single replacement, a battery here, a kit there, to stretch the life of equipment they already own.

How to Choose the Right Add-Ons

Start with the model number. A 6506 is not a 6507, and guessing gets you a part that almost fits, which is worse than no part at all.

Condition is the next thing to check. Condition varies by listing, so read the product page before you assume. If you're building out a full setup, it's worth browsing related Stryker Power-PRO XT listings alongside Stryker Accessories and Stretcher Straps so the pieces match.

My honest take: for anything load-bearing or safety-critical, match the part to your exact model, and watch battery cycle age over price.

OEM vs Aftermarket Accessories

This comes up constantly. Genuine Stryker parts fit without fuss and keep your cot inside the manufacturer's intended spec. Aftermarket pieces, like the Dewalt style batteries we list, can cost less, but check the product page for what's included and what it's compatible with before you buy.
